NASHVILLE, Tn. December 30, 2019: The Watercraft Journal named the Yamaha VX Cruiser HO as its pick for Watercraft of the Year, citing the VX Cruiser HO's status as the best-selling PWC in the boating industry two years in a row. Additionally, the award marks three consecutive years that a Yamaha WaveRunner has won this prestigious honor. The VX Cruiser HO joins the GP1800 that was named Watercraft of the Year in 2018 and 2017. According to The Watercraft Journal, Watercraft of the Year is the highest award within the personal watercraft industry media today. Each finalist is chosen from the various models reviewed by The Watercraft Journal and is judged on industry impact, innovation, market reception, and other attributes. "It's hard to argue with the overwhelming majority and the thousands of PWC buyers who voted with their wallets in favor of the VX Cruiser HO," said Kevin Shaw, the publisher and editor of The Watercraft Journal. "Yamaha created a machine that strikes the perfect balance for the widest audience – effectively pleasing all of the people all of the time, and for that earns this year's Watercraft of the Year award," said Shaw. The Yamaha VX Cruiser HO is unique in that it is the only WaveRunner in the VX Series to feature the High Output 1.8L normally-aspirated marine engine.
