KENNESAW, GA ─ Yamaha WaterCraft announced today that the Yamaha SuperJet personal watercraft has received the world-famous Red Dot Design Award in the Product Design category. This honor marks the 11th year in a row that a Yamaha Motor product has received a Red Dot Design Award.
The Red Dot Winner label is one of the most sought-after marks of quality for product design internationally. The annual awards, organized by Germany's Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen, are decided by a panel of 50 international experts who test, evaluate, and discuss each entry, with judging criteria reappraised and adapted each year to reflect the latest technical, social, economic, and ecological requirements.
The iconic Yamaha SuperJet is a single-person stand-up WaveRunner that recently received a full model change for the first time in 30 years. The new SuperJet is equipped with a four-stroke three-cylinder engine that complies with current emission regulations and features a sharp design reminiscent of racing with a wide front hull shape. It is equipped with a steering adjustment function that suits the operator’s body size and taste, an expanded foot tray, and an engine performance suppression mode for novice riders.
