Yamaha WaveRunner riders stamped their mark in the history books at the inaugural Pro Watercross Tour World Championships held September 22-27 in Naples, Florida, winning 19 world titles in the 22 classes where Yamaha competed.
Yamaha WaveRunner riders wrapped up one of the most one-sided race seasons in the history of motorsports, winning all 16 major runabout titles across the pro, amateur and novice classes at the Pro Watercross Tour finale held August 16-17 in Charleston, West Virginia.
Yamaha racers put on yet another show for the ages winning five of six pro classes at Round 5 of the Pro Watercross Tour in Hartwell, Georgia. Even more amazing was Yamaha's 1-2-3 sweep of the Pro Runabout Stock, Pro Runabout Superstock, and Pro Runabout Normally-Aspirated classes.
Not only did Yamaha take 8 out of 9 podium spots, but Yamaha racers achieved it across three different classes of products – the FZ in the 300 class, the FX in the 250 class, and the VXR in the 200 class.
